The Biggest Bodybuilder in The World

For all those bodybuilding fans wondering who the biggest bodybuilder in the world is, here are possible candidates for this rather flattery title:Gregg Valentino, famous for his huge biceps, is a kind of icon.

His career started as early as his age of 13. What seems a little strange regarding this guy is that he actually trained his body naturally for a long period of time – some 23 years, and then suddenly started taking steroids! His arms became un-naturally big and it made him even more famous. Of course, don’t think that the mother-nature didn’t respond – he had a kind of muscle explosion that resulted in quite asymmetrical and even more un-natural look.

Next guy famous for his muscles is Markus Rühl, the proud owner of the biggest shoulders in the world.

Then there is Ronnie Coleman from Louisiana, who was Mr. Olympia for as much as eight times.

Next on our list would be Arnold Schwarzenegger who won the Mr. Universe title at the age of 20, which makes him the youngest winner of this competition. He started training at the age of 15, got into the perfect shape very fast, and made him not only successful body builder, but also an actor. He is also the author of a few books on the subject of sport.

The greatest competition to Arnold Schwarzenegger was Lou Ferrigno, famous for his role in the Incredible Hulk. The Hulk-guy tried to beat Schwarzenegger in 1974 Mr. Olympia, and the documentary film “Pumping Iron” was made on this subject.

Now, some might have thoughts like: why would anyone want to be the biggest guy in the world, and why would he sacrifice himself so much in order to succeed? Well… maybe it is a way to prove something. And maybe it’s just passion.

Ronnie is the biggest professional BB but there are guys out there much bigger. I’m 5’10 but weigh 338. Compete professionally? No way…I lift for sheer size and strength and enjoyment not definition or aesthetics. It’s hard to explain to those who don’t undertand it but there are those of us (myself included) who love being huge and actually want to get extremely massive and strong. I love lifting weights. I love eating and trying to find clothes. I think its kind of funny that I intimidate people just by walking. And I actually like the fact that my best friends/workout partners or my girlfriend have to help wash me…yes, I can’t reach my back or the back of my arms and almost my feet. I CAN still wipe my a**, barely. :) Do I want to get bigger? Yep, alot. I’m lucky because i’m 22 and still have time to do so. Do I plan to just continue lifting and bulking to no end? No. I know when i’m 40, my body probably can’t handle 400-425 lbs. (yes, that’s the goal in size) But I’ll continue what I’m doing until I reach 30 or have major health problems or the size becomes too much and I need to lose some of it. As i said, my goal (in weight) is to be between 400-425 by 30. If I don’t make it that much…it won’t be a big loss. i’ll be happy with my progress. If i hit that size before 30 then I’ll keep gaining until I’m satisfied or until it becomes too much of a problem. But these are my goals. There are bb’s who are alot bigger than me now. But they’re your local gymrat, cop, construction worker and even your 19 year old club bouncer. Hope this explains some.

    Rob,
you would look hideous at 400 lbs at 5’10″.
i am just 19. 6feet, 395 lbs with 12% body fat. i have 67″ chest, and 24″ arms. my waist size is 32″.
all with genuine supplements. no steroids. i am training for past 4years.
my goal is to have 380lbs by 30 with 7% body fat.
i bet anyone of you to compete with me in bench presses, pull ups,and deadlifts…
if any of you have the guts, then reply.

that rob is a right monkey boy, ppl who want to get that big are most probably bully victims from school days and feel the need to be bigger than everyone so they dont get picked on

Coleman looks biggest from the back. Markus Ruhl looks biggest from the front. Greg Kovaks in his prime might have been the biggest all around, considering he was 6’4″ and still looked massive for his height.

I don’t think it’s healthy to push your body beyond what it wants to grow. Too much bulk can slow you down and makes for poor endurance. It’s healthier to train for strength, all around fitness, and injury prevention. Think Laird Hamilton, not Markus Ruhl. But it’s a free country and you can do whatever the heck you want.

    DO YOU EVEN LIFT BRO?

Haha, you people have lost your way. It shouldn’t be about how big you look or what size you want to be. Ask Arnold. He said he did it because pumping weights felt like an orgasm. He did it for his own enjoyment, and he didnt care about what his size was. He did it for fun, and you little boys with your mommy issues and Little Man Syndromes do it for recognition.

BE mad. It just makes me even more right.
